Nothing special, but I blame this site for this score.....
Well, was about to post the link of the Cl add, but I acted to quick and he already pulled it. I'll post pics of cabs later, when I remember how...
Was looking around here today on a whim, and saw some posts aotu altec gear here and there on craig's. So decided to do a little quick look up, (knowing I wasn't going to find a damn thing but some altec computer speakers!) results pop up and find an add with a pic no less, of large VOTT type speakers stacked up top. I email and ask for a list, knowing they were already gone.....
I get this reply.....: "The Horn is 811b. Crossover is N801-8a. Driver is 807-8a and woofer
is 416-8a."... $500 firm... I reply, "for the pair?"
Long story short, I have them in my stuffed garage, and have my multimeter out seeing what is the cause of one of the 807 drivers... (short on one of the leads on the diaphram is my first guess...) I will try and post pics ASAP..
Oh, on first glance, the cabs look to be built by a shop or possibly DIY maybe? They are plywood (spray painted black), I haven't looked up the exact A# nomenclature yet...
I was told they came down from some Ashville, NC theatre..... I didn't get any dates or anything.

Chris great deal, looking forward to your pics ! Since this site has an automatic photo resizer.
I highly recommend uploading your photos to Photobucket and then just generate the link codes and just copy and paste the IMG codes. That is the simplest and easiest way to post normal or close to original sized photos.Photobucket,Flickr,Picasso,Image Shack, etc. are all FREE photo hosting websites.
